Victoria Loesch and Christian Gerber (short vic & chris) are a Swiss-French photographer duo.
They began their cooperation in 2014 with a reportage on the Haenyeo, the South Korean "sea women". The women earn their livelihoods through harvesting seafood for which they dive without using breathing apparatuses. For several weeks vic & chris were accompanied by an interpreter and participated in the women's lives.

Various other commissions followed for vic & chris. These include photo reportages and editorials, architectural, corporate and advertising projects. At the same time they began to develop their first artistic experiments. The photographer duo primarily focuses on staged photography that offers an unimpeded view of people and their spatial orientation, both indoors and outdoors. Their work reflects the conviction that not only do people influence their environments, but that environments always have an impact on people.

vic & chris have been experimenting with conceptual photography since 2018. The duo's compositions include scenes from everyday life giving a critical yet unobtrusive look on modern society.
The aspiration of vic & chris is to produce perfect images and at the same time live up to their ambition of creating casual photographs.
