Not from any impending life threatening danger, or maybe so depending on the attitude of your HEARTWOOD TREES SCOTLAND employee, (Manager DOMINIC MEARNS) being of the lower ended of a poor quality squad. Champion line bashers (Electricity line Clearance) crew but that by no means gives them the skills to undertake work upon your mature, beloved, treasured arbor. PLEASE don't make the mistake of being ill informed to the point of bullied into shoddy work on your property. Examples of this I shall list below all of which I witnessed personally.

While taking down a Beech tree in the Polmont area, (Manager DOMINIC MEARNS) was in such a hissy fit about having to do his agreed share of of the work smashed the gentlemans fence in pieces. Ok accidents happen, but to a tree surgeon claiming 15 years experience + they are regular occurrances as you will find if you read on and this a very insignificant one. Then to top it off leaves ROTTEN OAK hanging over the property owner garage on one sides and a road on the other. IS THIS THE SORT OF PERSON YOU WOULD TAKE TREE ADVICE OFF.

While reducing two huge Willow trees in a gentlemans back garden. A biker the gent was I'm sure if he is reading he will know by the description, because everything written here is fact. Who has a small stream running behind the willow trees in the Saline area near Dunfermline. This particular gentleman had most of his job done well except the huge limb, that was not even that high of the ground but stretched out horizontally across the stream.. Probably by now two winters of heavy snow fall snapped off. Left for no reason other than, INFERIOR WORK ETHIC, AND GREED FOR MONEY. HEARTWOOD TREES MANAGEMENT SEEM TO EXPECT MONEY FOR NOTHING FROM UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS !!!!LOOK OUT!!!!!

Ok brace yourself, the story goes like this. So I was taken out too a job along the Aberdour road in fife. I looked on google to find the exact address because I would be happy for the gentleman to confirm my account of the factual devistation that took place on his property. Although I could not confirm exact address believe me you, the property owner will remember this till his last breath with a slight prompt of "REMEMBER THE TIME YOU ARRANGED AND PAID TO HAVE YOUR BIG ASH TREE REMOVED"

The job to a Tree Surgeon with the skills of a drunken one eyed Badger would be a straight forward dismantle job. Nothing else for it, no space to fell dismantle. Basic skills for the most basic of trades and HEARTWOOD TREES SCOTLAND can't even get these correct. This is not rocket science. This afore mentioned Ash tree must be ninety years old and at the top of a rather steep slope. There are other trees around, large mature trees which at best were going to be smashed up and looking like you tried to prune them with a bazooka. TO HEARTWOOD TREES SCOTLAND THIS IS ACCEPTABLE. As long as it's the road to easy fast MONEY! Now it can be argued that there was a small space to fell the tree. Yes, to the drunken one eyed badger. NO QUALITY* ARBORIST WOULD ENTERTAIN IT THOUGH!! So the shoddy job begins (AFTER PLEADING WITH MANAGER DOMINIC MEARS) in the usual shabby inferior quality way that work happens with "HEARTWOOD TREES SCOTLAND" Dominic (the Badger) the head of "HEARTWOOD TREES SCOTLAND" quality control, which like the other ninety nine point nine percent of the company is a shambles fells the tree (hacks it down). Now I'm not Mystic Meg, Mike or Martin, this plan of action was doomed to fail from the off set. This derives from have Dominic Mearns anywhere near you valued trees be warned.

So too cut a long story short the Ash tree was felled by Dominics 15 years + experience directly onto a beautiful mature "Copper Beech" maybe of eighty years in age, totally uprooted. Now not only was this bad enough but HEARTWOOD TREES SCOTLAND manager (and owner the badger, DOMINIC MEARNS) OFFERED NO MEANS OF COMPENSATION WHAT SO EVER! Being just no other words but RUDE to the customer acting as though no Tree Surgeon on god given Earth could of undertaken this job any other or more competent way. This whole scenario was almost comedic but for the gentlemans utter devastation at the Tsunami like mess on his property, of which HEARTWOOD TREES GAVE NOT ONE CARE!!!!!
I could go on and on about bad practise at this company from HAPPILY HAVING EMPLOYEES DRIVING VEHICLES UNINSURED too WAGES NOT BEING PAID, USING OTHER PEOPLES EQUIPMENT WITHOUT CONSENT (sCOTTISH WOODLANDS, CHIPPERS ON MORE OCCASIONS THAN I CARE TO REMEMBER).

Basically the only real skills DOMINIC MEARN has is the ABILITY TO GET SCOTTISH WOODLANDS TO PAY HIM SIX DAYS WAGES FOR THREE DAYS WORTH OFF WORK. None of the above is false so if this is the sort of service your looking for feel fre to call "HEARTWOOD TREES SCOTLAND" If this saves one person the misfortune of have a shoddy expensive job done my time has been well spent.

PS ANY PEOPLE THINKING OF WORKING FOR THIS COMPANY DON'T EXPECT YOUR WAGES RATE TO BE ADHERED TO OR YOUR LAYING TIME WHEN YOU LEAVE!!
AND A SCRAP SCOTTISH WOODLANDS CHIPPER SMALL CHIPPER ON ALL YOUR PRIVATE CONTRACTS!!!!
