TeenBiz is a solid platform for helping kids improve their reading comprehension skills. It assesses your child's reading ability and provides ability-appropriate passages for them the read and answer questions about. The passages gradually get more difficult which improves your child's ability. When you get to the question and answer portion, there is an opportunity to go back to the text and find the answer before the question is answered. Your child can also click on words they don't know to find out the meaning.
TeenBiz does have some glitches though that need to be worked out. When my first child used this program, we struggled with completing the assigned articles using an I-pad. We started using a PC after my son didn't get credit for several articles he completed. My daughter now uses a touch screen PC which is not working well either. She presses on one letter and a different letter registers. There is no forgiveness with this system. Once you click on an answer there is no opportunity to change it if you press the wrong button by accident. Since her grade is based solely on TeenBiz articles, this glitch will prevent her from getting straight A's as she has done for the previous three marking periods.
