Stoneridge Mi-Ki's now d/b/a Angelic Mi-Ki and Cavaliers sold me what is supposed to be a pure Mi-Ki in January of 2018. She had been asking $1800.00 for the dog and I explained to her that I had just lost my Mi-Ki of 18 years and that I live on disability, so she dropped the price to $1600.00. I paid a $500.00 deposit on December 28th, 2017 with the final payment upon pick-up of $1,100.00 cash on January 3rd, 2018. I went online to look up her information on March 21st, 2020 because I had misplaced my contract and paperwork so I could call her for copies and found that Stoneridge Mi-Ki's no longer existed and was now called Angelic Mi-Ki and Cavaliers. Then I also found a BBB claim against her and then other reviews on her. It got me searching and found out that the claims were that she wasn't selling what she claimed to be. I went onto the Facebook group Mi-Ki Breeders and Buyers to ask what the best DNA test is for Mi-Ki's. I was old the wisdom panel 4. I purchased a test and sent in her DNA. I called and then emailed Teresa asking her for copies of my contract and paperwork. In the subject line I put in Misty's name and DOB. I hadn't changed the name she had originally give my "mi-ki". She responded with that she would need the dogs DOB as well as the parents name to look it up and she also told me that she was "out of town". I found that a bit odd that a breeder wouldn't have records under the litter's DOB. I responded that I didn't have the parents name hence why I was contacting her. She told me that without the names I was pretty much SOL. I had let her know that I have sent her pictures ever 6 or so months and that she had emailed me about 6 months ago asking if Misty was ready for a brother or sister. It was suggested to me to contact the American Pet Registry and there was nothing for Teresa, her kennel or Misty's name. I continued my conversation with Teresa, and she did ask me if I had my dog spayed and I let her know that I had. Her response was then why does it matter if you have the contract and paperwork. I told her it does matter to me. After that I heard nothing from her until I sent her an email letting her know that I had received the DNA results and that Misty was NOT a true Mi-Ki. Then she responded with this is disappointing news. Both Misty's parents are registered Mi-Ki's so there was no intent to deceive me. Now she is remembering me because she went on to say that she had always been more than fair with me and that this time would be no different as long as things are kept respectful both public and privately. Pretty much saying that as long as I don't tell people what I have gone through we can sweep it under the rug. She offered me a full refund if I wanted to return Misty who I have now had for 2 years or a reasonable price adjustment if I was wanting to keep her though I needed to keep in mind that she had already been discounted. If I had wanted a mixed breed dog, I could have rescued one for $300 and it would have already been spayed. I wanted a Mi-Ki and paid for what I thought was a Mi-Ki but is not a Mi-Ki! I responded to Teresa's email stating that first and foremost I am needing a copy of my contract and the rest of Misty's paperwork now that she was remembering me. That was on April 17th, 2020 and I have yet to hear from her. I wanted to put this review in so that if others purchase a puppy from her that if they are wanting a Mi-Ki that hers are not PURE MI-KI'S and that she has been listed on the 100 worst puppy mills, which she is. Since posting on Mi-Ki Breeder's and Buyer's many others have come out of the woodwork stating that they too had purchased from Teresa and are going to be doing DNA tests as well. Teresa needs to be held accountable for deceiving people. This is not the first time nor will it be the last time I am sure.
I did put in a review with the BBB and also filed a claim against her with the Kansas Attorney General!

So I had court today 12/1/2020 and the Judge found in my favor that Stoneridge Mikis now d/b/a/ Angelic Mikis and Cavaliers is not selling what they are claiming to sell. Beware of this kennel and run far away from them!!!!! A reputable Miki breeder is NOT going to ask for a $500 non-refundable deposit and they are going to do DNA testing for lineage and health testing. To register with a Miki registry you have to prove everything going back 3 generations. Angelic Miki and Cavaliers registers with the bottom of the bunch where she doesn't have to prove anything. They take the kennels word for it. Who she registers with is APR (American PET Registry) and with the NCR (National Canine Registry) which again you don't have to prove anything.

Seller sold us a non purebred puppy that is not 100% Miki (which is the breed). We recently had DNA blood work done to confirm the breed and we received a mix breed puppy. Please see the attachments from our vet DNA blood work that was done, and also the vet naming her breed as "mixed". the second picture shows our dogs DNA family tree stating that her father was also a mixed breed. This company claims to sell " mikis that have championship lines that are true to the miki standard. " when in fact what we received is not a Miki but a mixed breed. The seller offered to take the dog back to resolve the issue but we are requesting less than half of the cost we paid as they are in Kansas and i am in Virginia so there is no way to "return" the dog. The total paid was $2225.25 ($500 was a deposit made on a separate transaction ) Which they did state the deposit was non refundable but we have requested a partial refund due to misconstrued information and not receiving a 100% miki puppy which is what they claimed to sell. If the sell said we are selling mixed breed that includes miki breed, that would be a different story." The seller has not replied to our email so now we will be seeking legal advise as well as advise from the Amercian miki registry. Stone ridge mikis, angelic mikis whatever the owner Teresa clams as her business name also failed state inspections in the state of Kansas, check out the link. https://www.thisdogslife.co/the-horrible-hundred-report-released-to-shine-light-on-worst-puppy-mills/ This woman is a mastermind con-artist as we have learned from other local breeders that have purchased from her and know of her registry history. This is my honest 100% true review.

Update from my above review ...

Just wanted to update my previous review. I have reached out to the BBB and Teresa Osborn of Stoneridge Mikis did agree to provide me with a $1000 partial refund. After going back and forth with her, she decided to change her offer now saying I need to remove all of the reviews I have posted online then she will provide the $1000 refund. I have told her that my honest, truthful experience and reviews with her and her company will not be taken down. A second BBB complaint has now been open and I have sent her multiple emails with no response. Here is a previous response from Teresa Osborn , “ If you wanted a dog from a different registry, you should have bought one. If DNA on the parents was important to you, you should have asked and bought one that came from parents who had been DNA’d. DNA is not a requirement for some registries and it would have saved us both a lot of hassle if you had simply asked about it if it was that important to you. I had no idea that the dog I purchased from another breeder was not pure-he came from two registered parents. I am betting the breeder that I got him from did not know either. I will be taking this up with her once we have reached a resolution. The sire has been pulled from our breeding program and will not be used for breeding again now that I am aware of his DNA as we are honest and ethical when dealing with our families. I will be addressing this with his breeder, but vow not to treat her like you are treating us as I am betting she was not aware either and someone has taken advantage of her as well.“ Then another statement from Teresa Osborn trying to manipulate the definitions of our original agreement. The original contract I signed was for a MIKI, now she’s saying her contract doesn’t cover DNA guarantee. “ What you do at this point is up to you. You have two very generous offers if you truly want to resolve this. You will never prove deceptive sales as there was none. You signed a contract that states “I, the undersigned, agree to adhere to the terms and conditions stated above. It is further agreed that no additional guarantee has been made with respect to this dog other than the one set forth in writing in this sales contract.” That means there was no guarantee of DNA. ”

So here we are and here’s the truth. Will update as soon as I can.

Update: this breeder was removed form puppyfind.com for failed state inspections. She is now selling under Larry’s cavalier kingdom on puppy find and on https://www.larryscavalierkingdom.com/ . Why would a reputable breeder be selling under multiple business names?

Update! I did pursue this business in small claims and won the judgement! This breeder has sold non purebred mikis , does not DNA test before breeding or selling and is NOT registered with any reputable Miki registries. Beware! Beware! Beware!!! Get your “mikis” from angelic mikis and cavaliers DNA tested folks!

We bought a "pure bred Miki" from her in April 2017. He cost $1500. She said he would top out at 5-8 lbs and he's 15lbs. I've questioned whether he's truly a purebred. Now I'm confident that I'll find out he's not. Will do DNS testing to confirm breed. My heart is broken that someone would cheat people out of their money knowing they will fall in love with these animals and "let it go". I'll update after our DNA testing takes place.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I tried to purchase a miki from the owner Theresa and she came across OK at first. A little strong but thought I was hopefully getting a good dog. After the second communication it went down hill. I saw numerous pictures of dogs from her site on many other websites. When I questioned her she said it was a fraud. I asked for an updated photo of my puppy since it has been three weeks and I wanted to make sure she existed. I got one excuse after another from my computer is not working to, too old, too tired, up all night, feeling sick, computer is fixed but send button doesn't work. However, she has been sending me emails all week with no picture just excuses from a send button that supposedly doesn't work. I finally spoke to her who said on speaker phone in front of my daughter that I will be getting the picture by the next morning? Talk about lack of customer service and professionalism. I get the run around and of course the picture was not emailed to me as promised. I called that day because at this point I am fed up with the excuses and nicely asked for the picture, and was given an attitude and a, I intend to get it out tonight. You have got to be kidding me! now I get abstract intent to. When I asked to clarify I get an attitude with, "Like I said I intend to send it out tonight". In other words you get it when you get it. As if the pictures all over the web wasn't shady enough.
I than just ask for my deposit back. I not only gave her many chances to respond to my picture request I am now getting an attitude along with excuses, which if she is a breeder doesn't come across as a reputable one. I was followed up with an email denying she said the picture will be in the next morning which I have a person who heard her say it. Just more lies after another. Basically she is refusing to return the deposit for a $1800 dog in which $500 of it was the deposit. I wish I had someone write a review about her so I could have avoided all of this and not been out $500 and deal with a huge headache. This was a horrible experience. I do not recommend this breeder, if she is a breeder, and hope, if she is a breeder, that she learns some people skills and realize you don't play run around games and give an attitude, especially to people that have been nice and patient, for a dog your selling that is worth $1800. From what I understand they sell cavaliers too at same site but cavaliers in replace of mikis with website name. I am not sure if they do or just have a site, but be careful and beware.
