My female I purchased from Alana has been a dream, she was born July 2017.
I had a rough start with Alana, I understand how hard it is to be a breeder. People have to overcome this stuff and keep an open mind, it isn't always about the breeder, it's about the DOG.
I have Sent Alana updates and pics of my Girl. I have asked her several questions and she has been supportive and informative of all.
My girl has competed in Conformation, she has her CGN and she has had certificates in Obedience and Rally..
Umm she has 7 points towards her 10 point championship and more to come.
Wow all this within 23 months. I'm proud to be an owner of Raylex German Shepherds. The breeding is important!

Terrible experience with Raylex Shepherds.
I put a $200 deposit down to be on a waiting list for a puppy, after reading terrible reviews and receiving a foster dog I decided that I no longer wanted a puppy from Alana. During this six month period I opted to not put a hold on a specific puppy. I then asked her for a refund of my $200 deposit and she refused to refund me. I double checked her website and this is what is said;
"At that time you would put a $200.00 deposit down to be on a waiting list. Once the puppies are born if we have what you have requested another $300.00 deposit is put down to hold a puppy for you. At that point the deposit becomes non-refundable."
After I sent her a screenshot of her website saying this she stopped answering my emails.
I know there have been a lot of bad experiences with this breeder and I hate to see her get away with any amount even if it's only $200. If anyone has had a similar experience or has any advice on what my next steps should be I would really appreciate any information.

she is not a nice person...her dogs are beautiful but would not deal with her...promised 6 weeks of puppy classes when I purchased my puppy then changed her mind and wanted to charge as not enough people showed up for the classes..she was holding one class every 4 weeks..no wonder she had a poor turn out..she does not back up her promises

Alana is a terrible breeder not a very nice person. She sold us a purebred German Shepherd that ended up having a cataract. We took her to small claims court we won. She was supposed to pay back one half of what we paid. We received $100.00 from her. No where near one half. Our dog now has an inherited disease Degenerative Myelopathy. It is a disease of the spine that will paralyze her, there is no cure or treatment. She just turned 8 years old. This disease is inherited from the parents. I would never recommend buying a puppy from her. She will rip you off any way she can. Her husband is also a breeder buyer beware for both of them.

How old is your German Shepherd by chance? My 11 yr old has Degenerative Myopathy even though we were assured by this breeder that she was tested for genetic markers for this specific condition and we were told that she was all clear

Very disappointed with Alana Raylex shepherd's for not standing behind her word or health guarantee.
Purchased my dog from her in March of 2015 and by June had surgeries to help with elbow displaysia. Alana said she would reinberse the purchase price and has not yet come through. This to me shows that this breeder is good with collecting cash for dogs but not willing to back up or help when in need, very neglectful

humm, What? I just put a $500.00 deposit on one of her new litter, born July 20, 2017. I'm visiting the pup this weekend...August 20,2017.
This puts up a "BIG FLAG" for Me!

The list could go on but she changes her mind all the time..first the puppies came with 6 weeks of puppy classes and then she changed her mind and wanted to charge for the classes..then she asked me if I wanted to show my dog and I told all my friends and family then didn't hear from her..asked her if she was going ahead with the showing but got no answer...her dogs are great but take everything she says with a grain of salt

We bought a puppy at the same time as you but have not received the CKC papers. Have you received yours and the puppy package? The puppy is awesome but her attentiveness after the fact is terrible
