We went on a 9 day cruise in the Greek islands, the transfer between Tirana and Athens would be by bus as announced by the company. Upon departure we did go by bus and it took 13.4 hrs. The bus was okay but not comfortable for international trips, impossible to sleep on the seats and there were no toilettes or fridge in the bus. We arrived at 7am in the port of Athens but we had to wait for 7 hours there before we were allowed to checkin. It was a very uncomfortable wait in the outer part of the port after a long sleepless night in the bus. The cruise was excellent, but it was all organised by the Greek side. Coming back we had to checkout from the ship at 7am and we were told a bus from Tirana would come to pick us up. All the other groups from the different countries were gone one after the other apart from the Albania group. Our guide informed us at 8am that there is a delay as the driver is 200 Km away. We had to wait for 4 hours outside the port as we could not stay in the ship anymore. At around 12 our transport arrived but instead of a bus, it was a small old van with 19 persons capacity while we were 20 people. We also realised that half of our suitcases could not fit as there was place only for 10 suitcases in the luggage, so after the long hot wait, we also had to deal with the fact that there was hardly any place for us and for the luggage in the small old van. The drivers tried to fit us somehow, putting the suitcases in the middle between the seats and we left. The two drivers had not slept or properly eaten or paused since 24 hours, one of them was even driving with sleepers or barefoot but luckily they managed to bring us safely home, after about 12.5 hours. Obviously no Covid measures respected, no distance, no masks. After several contacts with the organising companies: ATHS, Kalemi and Supreme travel, 4 of the passengers - who we understood were friends with the owner, left the van and went on a taxi, so we were 15 passengers but still quite close to each other, without having the possibility to extend the legs in such a long trip. Our requests for financial compensation from the company were ignored, and there was not even an attempt to show kindness and understanding for our suffering - the operator from Tirana told me that now that we are 15 people in a 19 seats minivan we should be just fine. Dear fellow traveler, if you care for your money and do not want to put your life in danger, please do not contact ATHS, Kalemi and Supreme travels agencies.
