Avoid the Optimus nightmare.

NOTE: Yopa/Optimus charge an hefty £778.80 referral fee, which will be passed onto the customer, by additional charges from the referred solicitors.
The decision to use Optimus was an unmitigated disaster. I have learnt a stressful lesson: never get entangled with conveyancing referral services. You'll pay above premium price, for unreliable one-star service. Always shop around for a reputable conveyancer yourself, it's a false economy not too.

Hek Jones Solicitors were the worst solicitors I have ever dealt with:
I was referred to Hek Jones by Optimus. They initially quoted £1,401.60, but this quickly spiraled to around £2000 with additional charges not shown in the Optimus estimate, and their pricing information contained errors and lacked transparency. In contrast, Warner Goodman solicitors quoted me £1,309.20, with virtually no additional charges.
Hek Jones proved too busy with other referrals to offer good service: e-mail turnaround was 3-5 days, and the responses often lacked professionalism. I didn't trust them enough to continue, so I cancelled.

Optimus conveyancing referral services proved far from optimal:

Huge referral fee:
The £778.80 referral fee, means the referred service will never be competitive.

Misleading website:
The website implies you will get an optimal and reliable service via Optimus. I found the exact opposite to be true. Their terms of business appear to be absent from their own website

Automated e-mails:
Optimus uses automated generic e-mails, which were written speculatively, and often proved more confusing than useful.

No e-mail communication:
All emails from myself were ignored.

Cancellation fee:
Optimus charged me £300 for the cancellation.

Avoid Optimus. House selling is stressful enough, without all the additional work and trouble caused by Optimus entanglement.
