I just found this site and thought I would weigh in... I ordered a cooker hood from this "company" in Oct 2012. I was convinced by Alex that I should order from Lusso as they could guarantee delivery in two weeks. After 6 weeks of emails and calls, I ordered the same cooker hood from Boots online! Needless to say, had to get credit card company involved to obtain refund.

I ordered my Cooker hood on the 27th April. After several phone calls I was promised that the hood would arrive in time for my kitchen being fitted.
A month later my Kitchen has now been fitted and still no hood. No response to emails and no answer to 100+ phone calls.
I should of realised at the beginning when I tried to contact this company and had to keep chasing them up that there was something dodgy going on. I also wish I had read some of these reviews before placing the order.
My advice would be just to order from elsewhere, its not worth the risk. I still haven't managed to speak to anybody with regards to the location of my hood or a refund.....
Posting here seems to get a response so Alex/Jeff fancy giving me a clue whats going on????

Alex and Jeff ye obviously look at this website so maybe I have a better chance of getting through to ye. I have ordered a Cooker hood for over 870 pounds two weeks I was promised that I would revieve it 5-7 days. im still waiting, I'm not getting any replies from messages left or several emails. Please put my mind at rest as I am seriously worried after these reviews?

Just read all the reviews about this company- Amazed !
I purchased and paid up front £9280.They were very helpful.
Within 2 weeks all the appliances were delivered.
They called 2 days before delivery to check that we could accept.No problems.
I have my own business in other products so I think these negative comments are coming from lusso competitors who want to drive them out of business.

after reading the above reviews we were hesitant however upon several conversations with the staff and the suppliers involved we went ahead and received excellent service, we have now used twice and each time the same. 90 % of the time people who receive good service don't post a review so i hope this helps!!

Buyer beware! before you proceed with your purchase of appliances from Lusso online I urge you to read the diary of my experience with this company. I provide in great detail the issues I experienced when dealing with Lusso oline. I provide email extracts of actual communications that took place between me and Alex Astle, a director of Lusso online! I transferred over AUS$6,500 to Lusso online over six months ago and have not received any of the appliances I ordered nor have I received any refund. Alex Astle and Jeff Davis were very quick to respond to our questions regading shipping overseas and the order process. Once we placed the order and directly transfered the funds into their account - as they indicated they preferred, they went silent. Numerous emails from us failed to gain a response until after 4 months we left phone messages indivcating they were behaving in a fraudulent fashion. Alex then feigned 'lost' emails and made promises to deliver our order. We managed to have one product delivered, although we had to verify this with the supplier ourselves and continually challenged the accuracy of his claims via email. The second (larger) portion of our order remained missing. At one stage Alex indicated it was enroute and must be somehwre with TNT, although he could not provide a tracking number. We contacted TNT directly and they confirmed they had no order for delivery to us. Eventhough we had threatened to contact the UK Action Fraud squad previously, this was the last straw and we filed a formal report through their website. We sent Alex the receipt email as proof we had made a report. We also contacted relatives who had recently retired from the Metropolitan Polce Force and some close friends who live in Nottingham whose mother happened to have been a Lady-in-Waiting to the Queen in her youth - needless to say they have reasonable connections. On top of this we emailed a number of Lusso 'affiliates' listed on their website (which have since been removed) as well as the bank we deposited funds into and made enquiries with the Nottingham Post as to whether they had any 'investigative' bent to their journalism. Our efforts coincided with the establishment of a complaints website by another disgruntled customer and this combined pressure resulted in us gaining a refund for the outstanding order - well over 6 months since we ordered our appliances.
By contrast, we ordered some new appliances from Fesal in Italy and they arrived within 2 weeks - the shipping was also markedly cheaper than the quote from Lusso.
The whole experience has put our kitchen 6 months behind - a disappointment for a number of reasons but primarily because we were donating our older kitchen to a widow with a sick child and they have had to wait to refurbush their own kitchen as a result of the delays forced on us by Lusso.
Our advice, stay away!

I purchased an item which I paid in full which was processed at a high rate of efficiency. It all went down hill from there.... Its been nearly 2 months and I am still waiting for my item. Unable to get in contact with either Jeff or Alex via Email or Phone. Finally made contact with Jeff on the phone who promised to refund my funds... Still waiting...

not sure what all of the fuss above is about, i just received a substantial Miele order through on time and at a very good price. I enquired about all of the above comments and was satisfied with the explanation. Was very very happy with the service and will be returning for future projects

I ordered a number of items from lusso where the owner Alex Astle convinced me to direct deposit the funds this was nearly a year ago and after numerous emails where I have been promised goods and refunds it is clear that he has and probably never did have any intention of providing goods we are now working with the UK fraud squad have setup a web site warning customers as well as a Facebook site where there are many customers coming forward with the same story.

I bought Miele warming drawer 2 weeks ago and there is no shipping information so far, they don't reply my email and facebook messages with the demand of refund.

I placed a significant order with Lusso Online in August 2012 and paid a deposit of more than £6,000. I was dealing with Alex Astle and Jeff Davis. After a long period of not returning calls, I was then let down several times with promised delivery dates. Ultimately Lusso Online proved completely unable to source the appliances and I had to use another company. They frequently told me outright lies and repeatedly failed to return calls or respond to my emails. Despite accepting in writing that they let me down and owe me a refund of the deposit this has still not been received. After 6 months I have now commenced court proceedings. Do not buy from Lusso Online or its sister Linear Developments and definitely don't pay them a deposit unless you are prepared for a similar experience.

I ordered a very expensive cooker hood in November and was advised it would take up to 3 weeks. When 3 weeks passed and I had not had a delivery date, I emailed and called. It was over a week before I got a response. They promised to refund my money as I had cancelled my order by that time. The refund was supposed to take 3 working days. It has now been over 2 months since I placed the order and have still not received a refund. My credit card company has gotten involved and now asked for the refund on my behalf. Do not buy from them!

elaine, i have just responded to your email, delivery of the best products is normally 10-14 days, with the bank holiday in between we are about ready for delivery, this will be coming direct from the supplier to you
Add a commentElaine, I am very sorry to hear about your situation. If no joy just keep up the reviews and tell as many people as you can. Unfortunately when Astle finally does make contact he will keep promising and will fail to deliver, eventually he will expect you to give up, my advice is DON'T, keep on harassing him and Jeff until you get an outcome.
