Dining at Big Fish in Dearborn, Michigan was a horrible experience for me a frequent diner and for my friend/business associate who was a first time patron. The server Danielle was inattentive and had a very dry disposition, uninviting. The salad I ordered was not tossed properly. The salad appeared first to have been in another container then dumped in a plate and serve to me. The blue and pine nuts were all at the bottom of the plate and the greens were gritty. When asked for additional dressing, I did not receive it until after my food was brought out about ten minutes later. My quest order oyster on the half shell and requested some hot sauce, when her plate was brought to the table. Danielle disappeared again. Finally, after five minutes or more we had to asked another server to bring the item requested. That person brought the hot sauce right back to the table. Danielle continued to avoid our table. I asked another server for a manager. Zack , the assistant manager came over and my quest and I preceded to explain the poor service we had been receiving. Zack listened and humored us for about 5 - 7 minutes and preceded to tell us the next time we come into the establishment to informed the front desk that we were a "Wild Customer". He explained a "Wild Customer" would get an experience server and top of the line treatment. I told Zack the assistant Manager, I took high offense to that statement because anybody that walks through the door of Big Fish who spend their money should receive the same level of quality service as the next person. He agree, however he basically was finish with the conversation. I informed Zack, due to terribly service we had received I needed and adjustment on my bill. Our bill was less than forty dollars and so Zack took a WHOLE BIG $6 off (unacceptable). During our entire conversation with Zack, it was obvious Danielle had shared the issues she was having at our table with her other co-workers because one by one employees started coming out of the back staring at us(so unprofessional). My quest and I continue to converse and had some coffee. Danielle slowly brought the coffee out with no spoon or coffee stir. I had a Sundae and Danielle brought my spoon out to me in her hand and laid it on the table. I objected to the service and asked her to take it back and bring the spoon of a plate. Danielle complied however moments later did the same exact thing with my guests' coffee. Danielle's behavior and attitude was forcefully, until I asked her point blank,"did you have a problem with us?" She replied "no", again her mannerism did not change. About ten minutes prior to us leaving Danielle starting coming over asking us did we need anything. Of course at that point, we didn't nor want Danielle to serve us nothing. We got better service after we had completed our meal. Finally, about 6:00 pm my guest and I gathered our belongings and went to the restroom. While in the restroom, I discovered I had left my hat at booth we had been dining. Upon returning to the approximately 5 minutes, my hat was no where in site. The table had been cleared but my hat was not there. Then another assistant manager, Brenda who had not been present during this ordeal came up to the front desk. Brenda insisted that my guest and I had been away from the premises for a long time and I probably left my hat in the car, but she go and check the restroom to be sure. I informed assistant manager, Brenda that we had not left the building at all before discovering I had left my hat at the booth. Brenda continue to insist I did not wear a hat into the restaurant. (It was about 18 degrees outside.) After about 10 minutes of non-productive conversation I asked for corporate and general manager information since Brenda would not acknowledge the fact one of Big Fish Employees' had stolen or through my hat away. Nobody else was at the booth and only Big Fish Employees clean off the area. Brenda said she could not pay for my hat. I returned the next day and spoke with general manager, Bob and explain the situation and informed him I wanted to compensated for my hat and the horrific ordeal I had encountered. Bob the general manager took down my information and said he would file a claim through corporate. That was Saturday, December 10, 2016, today is Friday, December 16, 2016 and I have not heard from anybody concerning the terrible dining experience I encountered nor nothing about replacing my stolen property. What in the whole is going on at Big Fish Restaurant in Dearborn ,Michigan? I'll tell you! Danielle behavior was racially motivated. Her unprofessional behavior and her negative demeanor exhibited a place that she was quite comfortable without any fear of reprimand or repercussion. The fact that Big Fish Restaurant Management Team is unwilling accept accountability that crime was committed on their property just deplorable. The fact that an organization as well known as they are will not even acknowledge the horrific dining experience I encounter in their establishment unacceptable. From Bob the general manager down to Zack and Brenda the assistant manager all display a lack concern surrounding this ordeal. The fact that Big Fish Management Team was unwilling to resolve this issue in house and refereed it to corporate displays a lack of experience and qualification in the leadership positions at this restaurant.
