Kurtz Kardz might come to your town to buy your old sports cards. If they do, run the other direction. They are shysters - and you can tell the minute you meet them. The first thing they will tell you is all of your cards are worthless - that they have hundreds of them already, and that they are damaged and they might be able to sell them for a dollar or two. I had a shoebox of cards from the 1960's - Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, Pete Rose, Hank Aaron, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Joe Namath, and about 50 Hall of Fame players total. I did some research and was expecting at least $3000 for the cards. They counted the cards and gave me a dollar per card - a total of $180, from which I guarantee they will make $10K. Wish I still had those cards...just looking at them every few years is worth a hell of a lot more than $180. Shameful.
