If you plan on traveling around Japan then a JR Pass is a must! We used ours to get from Narita to Tokyo, Tokyo to Osaka, Osaka to Tokyo, and Tokyo to Narita so buying the pass paid for itself.

Note that if you buy a green pass (first class) you will need to make reservations for your train rides. This is not a big deal since you can make them from the station minutes before a train departs.

The seats are comfortable and the service is fantastic!

You better not use this company. Their information is not forthright. They do not tell you how much they would charge for the use of credit card. Once you complete the purchase then you see the extra charge they imposed on you. You can not undo the purchase, and if you do , they penalize you ( $147 in our case). I am disputing this charge with AMEX.
There is a better site, jrpass.com which has clear and transparent information . The delivery was veey prompt. I was happy with their service. Chong Lee

If you want to buy rail ticket from this website, you might want to reconsider:
- You get charged with credit card charge even if you use a debit card to pay
- It automatically adds insurance & credit card charge on your payment(you have to untick to not purchase it)
- Even if they promised you full refund, they do not refund the insurance charge & credit card charge (I realised the insurance charge within 5 mins of the payment & claimed refund immediately, despite many email exchange, they still refuse to refund for the insurance charge)
You will be able to find cheaper ticket on other webistes
