We had a Hydro-temp 10 ton and 5 ton installed 18 years ago in our 11,000 sq ft business and home and it worked great for a couple of years then the issues started and they never stopped.
To this point we've invested thousands of dollars in repairs and it works for awhile and then more problems.
Being in Missouri it was difficult to get Hydro-Temp to send someone up(the original installer is not welcome back at our place but that too is another depressing story)however a few years ago they finally sent one of their people and that bill ended up being another couple of grand.The system was working again until a couple of months ago and we are once again without air.
Since then I've had a new geothermal guy look at the system and if I repair I'm looking at another $3,000 and Hydro-Temp needs six weeks to build a new coil because the one for ours is no longer made.I called Chris at their home office and pleaded for some help but he said that was a Mike Jones call and he has been unavailable.
A new Hydron system is going to run me $22,000 but after all these years of problems I'm ready to close the door on this joke of a system especially since I called Hydro-Temp back today and Mike Jones was still unavailable and I was told it would be best if I just moved on.

I have to agree with Jay and his review. I bought a unit and it has never worked properly. I had another company come look at my unit since Hydro Temp has been out to my house 10 times but cannot seem to find the problem. Took the other company less than 10 minutes to find the problem. The owner called me a liar and will not fix my unit. To make things worse he will not sell me the part so I can have someone else fix the unit. Please do not throw your money away, these guys are cheaper for a reason, and it will end up costing you dearly in the future.

Bought a hydrotemp 4 ton unit. So far been living in house for 18 months. Unit has had 3 compressors' multiple control boards and runs for about 6 weeks max. HT sent a factory representative to work on unit but repair did not last long. HT would not replace unit. Technical support is good and HT did give me 5 year replacement on parts but that is all. Warranty is out and HT will not back up unit that never has worked properly. Will probably replace HT with another brand unit within the year. Too hot in Texas not to have an AC.
