They automatically after 3 months took money out of my bank account for another subscription and refuses to refund the money when I won’t be using the service at all and in a way they are prepaying themselves for something I won’t be using at all.
Most Petsitters don’t even bother to reply so you are lucky if you find one. They by default set you to renew automatically with all the intention to take your money again and again and when you claim they just refuse instead of setting you up by default as a one off and then ask you to suscribe if needed. Absolutely joke

Please take care with holidogs,They usually renew your subscription, however this is not clear in the website .The first you know about it is when a payment is taken from your account. They then refuse to respond to emails. Please be very careful,do forget involved with Holidogs.

I would not recommend this company. They advertise using false information. The fees advertised for my chosen pet-sitter were incorrect - they were in fact much higher than advertised on the website. When I asked for a refund on the basis on false information I was refused.

I went on holiday this August and paid £56 for an one off subcription for the introduction of a pet sitter. Three months later in November I found holidog took another £57 from my credit card that I used to make the first payment without any prior notice and even though I have not used their service again.

Having written to them for a refund, I was told that there is an automatic renewal function on my account which I was not aware of. However, they did not mention this was a direct debit upon signing up nor did they notify me in advance of the second payment which is stipulated in the direct debit guarantee.

They refuse to refund the extra payment they took from me. I definitely would not use this company or recommend this company to anyone.

I had a similar experience although there was nothing wrong with the pet-sitter I had chosen. I had to cancel my holiday as the dog was sick but Holidog refused to countenance a refund, saying I shold have taken out their cancellation insurance. Such insurance is not required by boarding kennels, and they will usually give a full refund. To give "excellent customer service" Holidog offered a three months' free booking - an offer of no use to me at all.

Be very casreful if you decide to use Holidog. I cannot seak for the quality of their sitters but I was less than impressed by their customer service.

Very Poor experience.
Did due diligence with pet sitters, asked relevant questions based on criteria required and based on answers paid the deposit to visit chosed pet sitter. When visited pet sitter they had misled me on answers and could not provide what I needed. I searched remainder of petsitters in my town and again did not meet my criteria.
I explained situatuion to holidogs and asked for a refund of my deposit as I was misled and would never of submitted the booking. The refund was declined. They said they are there to introduce and I should of taken out the insurance which was almost similar value to my deposit and for people who have completed the process and have to cancel.
From their response I get they are happy to take your money and dont care if the people mislead to get bookings. This if very irresponsible and I wont use or trust them again.

I would not recommend them, I registered as a sitter and kept getting emails about possible bookings with costings on them, but they weren't the figures I quoted, I was also told that as a sitter, they would not charge me a fee, this is not the case.

Bit of dishonesty going on here, when I questioned them they deleted my details.
