I would recommend avoiding expatlaw.nl. The service costs double what a better attorney would charge. I prepaid half of his 1500 euro upfront. Fortunately for me, I fired him before paying the second half, and easily found a much better attorney who charges 900 euro. I had met with Mr. Barth years before I finally decided to proceed with immigration, only to find that he expected me to remember everything from that time. So for purposes of billing, I was a new case. For the purpose of telling me what I needed to know about Dutch taxes, I was an old case, though he didn't credit me anything on the charge.

Worse, he directed me to tax attorney who scribbled down a few numbers and just presented me with the horrigying position I would be in if I were exposed to the full brunt of the Dutch tax laws. She made no suggestions.

Fontunately for me, I found a good lawyer and he directed me to a competent tax planner and now I will have either a Limited Liability Corporation or a Foundation. Neither of which had been mentioned by the tax expert that ExpatLaw sent me to see. So I was able to survive my encounter with ExPatLaw.nl by going to qualified attorrneys.
