Stay away from this company. I thought I would get a good quality product and at the very least good service with this company. My $1700 electric recliner’s frame came apart 7 months after receiving and four months later I’m still waiting for help from this company. So disappointing for a Canadian company.

We purchased Elran 3 seat and 2 seat manual recliners about 15 years ago. The warranty and after service was awesome, I had some problems with recliner mechanisms and they shipped complete parts to me quickly with instructions which I easily installed. We've given the couches to our kids as they moved out and will be purchasing new Elran recliners again!

Elran are not what they use to be, I just purchased 2 electric recliners a $1299 taxes 2 months ago (october 2020)and they are so unconfotable and Elran refuses to change them. Good luck to you if you purchase new ones. Poor service

We purchased a power sofa, loveseat and recliner and they did not close properly. The tech was not able to fix them and we could not return them. As other reviews reveal...DO NOT purchase Elran furniture. There are better brands out there.

Bought a rocker recliner 1 year ago. After 1 week the chair was squeaking do much when you rocked I returned it to the store. Apparently the replaced the mechanism . Well it is now 1 year old and the metal fram that allows the leg to extent has broke. So you can no longer recline ! Not a good chair. . It was very expensive too !

I bought an elran 3 place w/2 integrated recliners (left and right of the center) sofa which I had re-upholstered. 6 months later this 2G sofa looks like it's already 20 years old. Upholstery is pathetic...non symmetrical, lumpy stuffing, non aligned, and on and on...Cheap, cheap product. Avoid their products. Complained, but to no avail. Must throw a slip cover over it so as not to look at the worse sofa ever.

Not a happy Elran customer

Same...we bought an Elran sectional fabric sofa (cost over $8k) and upon delivery we immediately noticed that the material was very wavy/loose and not tight fitting. I brought it to their attention that same day. They sent in a tech to add more stuffing - he did so in one area, but it didn't make any difference so there was no point in doing the other section. They said I was refusing the service. I told them the material needed to be sewn shorter, but they basically said that's the way it should look and that it was normal. Honestly our sofa looks like it's 20 years old, but its brand new. AVOID ELRAN!

We bought all leather (I assume) El Ran love seat, sofa and chair. All recliners. They are about five and a half years old. The leather is failing where we most often sit. Looks terrible!

We purchased two reclining chairs from Sears one week ago and we are not happy with them.
When you recline it is difficult to get the foot rest up. When you do just the pressure of your legs causes it to lower again and there isn't any way to lock into position. Then when you do want to lock it back in to the down position it is very difficult. We wouldn't ever consider this brand again and are not happy with Sears that they sell it.

Purchased an Elran power recliner sectional for 86 year old lady..Elran shipped the sectional without the recliner motor. When we called them..their initial solution was to offer a 300 dollar return for the motor!Their 2nd offer was to have a local company retrofit a motor.Their 3rd solution was to send a new recliner seat!Knowing a bit about furniture I told them none of these solutions were acceptable. The chances that the leather would match weren't good..and a retro fit motor was insulting as was the 300 dollar refund. The final solution was..they sent a new couch 10 weeks later.5 years later the leather shredded. While the 3 no name brand bonded leather couches in the house remained in perfect condition the Elran failed to deliver on the saying "you get what you pay for".They were an arrogant company to deal with.Years of experience dealing with bad companies was the only thing which partially rectified this situation. In retrospect...we should have undone the deal after the initial bad experience. The quality doesn't match the price.

We have only offered Elran products for about two years and some things we have discovered; Elran wants to have the customer contact them directly for service issues. They have technicians that service areas to carry out any warranty issues. Problem is that some areas are not supported by techs. We have been authorized to handle any concerns, and as far as recliners are concerned, they have been very minor and few to deal with overall. Elran has been a very good recliner company to work with, and like most things, there are different price points and construction features a person can purchase. We make sure that people are aware of this and have the correct warranty and care for their products they purchase. Great line, great comfort!

Do not buy Elron leather furniture! We purchased 2 leather recliners $949.99 each at Sears. Within the first month someone had to come and restuff both recliners and the sofa as stuffing had all fallen down. Now, 5 years later both recliners can be thrown out as the leather has separated from backing and leather is ripping on headrests. Sears won't do anything as the warranty is only for 2 years. Phoned Elron in Quebec only to hear that we shouldn't put our heads on the headrest as a chemical reaction occurs and causes this problem. What a lame excuse! Could get no help or satisfaction from Elron at all! We rarely use recliners or sofa and are by no means overweight. This should not happen to expensive leather furniture. We will never purchase anything made by Elron and also never buy anything from Sears again. Customer service is terrible and no one stands behind their products, just lame ridiculous excuses!

It is a shame that you didn't have anyone go over the maintenance of leather and the cleaning options. We carry the line and have had nothing but positive reviews from our customers. Leather and fabric warranties typically are only for a year for unusual wear. Most chairs will respond to how they are cared for, and regrettably, most people don't do anything until the leather looks soiled.

Purchased a leather sofa, chair and loveseat and within 6 months the underpadding compacted to where we were sitting on the "bones" of the sofa and loveseat. Dept. store where we purchased contacted Elron and they removed the sofa and loveseat ostensively to replace the underpadding. Three months later (admitting they had used a substandard padding) they returned the "repaired" duo. Result: no difference - the loveseat and sofa compacted within two weeks. We are small people and we do not overburden our furniture with overweight people. The removal of the furniture by Elron was to mollify us and no repairs were made. Don't buy from this company.

Did you purchase a plush frame? I would suggest never giving up on being satisfied. Elran has area techs that are suppose to handle repairs for the company. We do not have techs in our area, so if there is service, we handle our own. I would say that the company has been pretty easy to work with overall, and you should report the lack of resolve the area tech.

Notice how Elran ships low quality furniture and then relies on "area techs" to fix their slop? Shouldn't have to at their prices.
