I bought 25 balls of Mischief yarn , Lot: 28037, Code 6168 . I crochet Jackets for my 3 grand daughters.
When I reached almost the end of the last Jacket, I noticed that the one ball of yarn is much lighter in colour than all the others.I was very disappointed. I checked the Lot and Code Numbers and I can confirm that all the numbers are the same. It was so obvious that I had to pull out almost half of the jacket to replace that ball of yarn with the same wool as the rest of the jacket.
It really took a lot of time to rectify.

I bought 6 balls of Elle Mischief - 50 g - Nantucket, Lot 27327, Code 6168. I have complained about the quality to the store I bought it at - they say it is not their problem! I wanted to knit scarves as presents, but: In three of the balls the wool was broken off and knotted, right in the middle of the ball. In one of the balls there was a very thick and thin part, also somewhere in the middle, making it essential to break that part off as well. It would not have been such a problem, but this yarn has definite lengths of darker and lighter pieces, causing a pattern of dark and light bands, which changes when the yarn is broken off and shortened, making it very obvious. Further more: some of the balls start with a dark strand, others with the lighter strand, again changing the pattern of the bands. This is ridiculous. It is such a lovely yarn and it could have knitted up well, but you have a serious problem with quality control. I am waiting for a reply!!!

elle pattern 7452 for a child's jumper.
The pattern is for a boy but the button band has been put on the left side of the knitting and the button hole band on the right. It should be the other way around.
The instructions for knitting the neckband are very vague and unhelpful.
The pattern has instructions for a pocket. What pocket?! None shown on the cover photograph. Shall avoid Elle patterns in future.

Not a happy knitter......bought 3 different colours of Elle Charity ( DK) yarn - for a fair isle pattern. Found the base colour ( Hibiscus 082 Lot 24355) to be soft and 'snug' whereas the black and white in the identical range are stiff and not at all compatible with the Hibiscus. Had to get a different yarn altogether to get the fair isle to look good. HAVE queried this on your home page comment form but no response ?

I am a great fan of Chick wools but am disappointed. I bought a pack of 5 balls white double knit (Col001 Lot 24794 code 7009/07)from Checkers. The first two balls were fine but notice while knitting small dirty flecks, on closer inspection I noticed small strands of grey wool woven into wool. What a waste of knitting time. Will have to redo. Its the first time that Ive had a problem with any of your yarns.

I have just bought 1 50gr ball of Family Knit Classic Double Knit ref: 074 SNOMOON CODE 6001/03 in Grahamstown - I love the colour and wondered if it also came in 4ply? And if so, can I order direct or through the store in Grahamstown? Looking forward to hearing from you!

I bought Chick Baby Pastels today .White Lot 225156 Code 7010/02
However to my dismay , half of this ball of wool only consists of two strands (not three as normal) Therefor I am unable to use it . I have the ball of wool should you wish to see it . Please advise what I should do ?

I cannot find the email address anywhere on the website. I wish to email Saprotex regarding a complaint about Baby Soft Double Knit. (Three joins in each 50g ball - two balls bought so far - reluctant to buy more but wish to complete the jersey). I did send email some time ago to elleyarns.com but have had no reply. I recently bought Ella 3 ply Baby wool to crotchet a blanket for my new granddaughter. The wool is lovely and soft, but the thickness of the wool is not consistent, in places it is twice as thick as in others, which make keeping the size of the stitches even very difficult. I have a photo on my cellphone, if you wish to see it.

I had the same, and where the joints was it was a totally diffrent colour, so I had to cùt out a lot of yarn, very frustrating as I stay in the rural area 3hours drive from shops!
