This website has an absurd interpretation of "For Annie." The poem was NOT written for Nancy Richmond. Poe NEVER called Nancy Richmond Annie. The poem is about a drug addict. He has ingested laudanum. He is high. See interpretation of "For Annie" on Goodreads. Look for review by n. sadel. This is Poe's greatest poem. Start teaching it! It's relevant today.
