have sold and bought on Discogs. I will say my experience has been good 85-90% success rate. I would say its a great way to sell your products. Yes there are a few bad apples but that is in any business and to be expected. Some tips; no feedback don't buy. shipping problem, can be resolved through Paypal. I have done it, and works very well. However, in my experience the seller or buyer
have been accommodating and have made alternate arrangements and no need for Paypal.
Discogs promotes they are the largest online music database for buying and selling music with collectors in the Marketplace.. Which is fair statement.
If you have a support question technical in nature about selling they do respond promptly.
I find their should be more interaction with the users on the sites. ie. more contests or giveaways.
The Forum is very active and in most cases you will get a response within minutes. However be prepared, at times, a very crass or joking response which can be annoying and frustrating for first time users.
I have been a contributor to the site (top 50) for the last 10 years and I find its a great way to document your collection and get an ongoing value of your collection however I stay away from the Forum or responding to harsh or crass responses.
Overall, I recommend for selling or starting your collection.
