David Kentish grew up listening to his father's evening stories about Australian bush animals. He continued in the same vein, but now to a broader audience, and that is through the books he has published over the years as one of the best-selling classic Australian children's book authors.

Some of the titles he has written include "King's Gold", "Horseshoes and Fences", "Babington's Treasure Map", and many more! David has quite a range of books under his belt as he has written stories for him, for her, and, most notably, stories for the younger audience. In fact, he has also written a history book, "The Kentish's of Keysbrook", which was about his family's move from South Australia to West Australia. And he even has written a biography about his mother's life in "KVK."
