The least that I have to worry about is getting heating oil but here we are.
I first have to say that I moved from one state to another and am in the process of adjusting to the new environment. I never had oil as a heating source and had natural gas.
Every time that I place a request with cash heating oil , I usually get replies after multiple days.
This time has been the most infuriating encounter I had with cash heating oil.
First of, it is unacceptable how they decide to do the delivery what ever time of the day. I am very busy and have a hectic schedule with work. Most of my time is spent outside of my home and so I need to have a time frame to be able to schedule my time appropriately.
Second, every time I place orders, I wait for days to get replies from a seller. Which in return, forces me to place a new order since I have never received an update.
I finally got a delivery scheduled but that day I was so booked with work and needed to leave the house very quickly. I waited for hours at home for the driver and did not get any update.
Immediately, after leaving, while on the freeway, I received a call stating that the driver has arrived. I was in shock and told him that I will be back with one hour and that I had the cash in hand. I asked if I can reschedule for tomorrow, a Sunday, since I will be home all day, he said no and that he will not be working then.
I initially believed that I was in the wrong and had sent an email apologizing since cash heating oil had permanently stopped me from being able to use their service. However, thinking of it now, I have absolutely nothing to apologize for. They are inconsiderate and rude.

I think this is a great site to find lower prices ! I have never had a problem with them ! The website is run so smoothly and if you ever have a problem with an oil co you really can not take it out in the site. You will soon recognize the company you like and can pick them ! I know so many people who use it and love it as well !

I ordered oil for the first time from this website as suggested by a neighbor..Driver called and said we do not need oil at this time. We were at 5/8
in the afternoon we had a call from an irate woman saying I should have called her to cancel delivery. I told her the driver would not deliver so he should have let her know the situation- she screamed and hollered that she would block me?? Never been treated so shabby as a 1st time customer..Needless to say I do not know the dealer assigned here..nobody to complain to..
I consider myself lucky to know to stay away from these anonymous dealers..

I have use the cash heating oil a couple of times. One time during the dead of winter driver could not get into my driveway for whatever reason of inexperience. I ran out of oil contacted somebody else through cash heating oil and then they banned me ever using them again. Explain that the driver could not get in my driveway and we kept the benefit to this day. I have contacted them many times to explain was not my fault. I have always been an upstanding customer etc. they could not care less. Acted rudely, inappropriate which will make you feel like a jerk. For the pennies on the dollar that you save I wouldn’t waste my aggravation and stress over this company. I wish these companies would be more transparent so I can go there personally and have a talk with somebody instead of them being able to virtually hang up on you and treat you like garbage. If they could be lower than one star it would be For customer service and a waste of time

Tried ordering from Cash because of low price, but was assigned a company that I know is shady, so cancelled. How can they undercut others by 15% without either cheating on the gallons or maybe giving you cheaper high sulfur off road diesel? Think about it.

Driver who came was very rude. Asked if I could pay with a check he said it has to be cash or credit. I told him I would get him a credit card number and asked if he would deliver again could I pay with a check. He hopped in his truck and drove off. I have gotten oil from Cash Oil but they sent out different companies and paid with a check. I was trying to save him the credit card fees. One thing that is bad about buying from Cash Oil is that not one of the companies that they send out bothered to check out the tank and connection for my safety as well as theirs. Oil spills are very costly. Every other company that I have had over the years always checked the tank the first time they came.

They do have great prices, but they are horrible company. Or at least whoever runs their website is. When picking suppliers they ask that you enter your zipcode and then different oil companies populate and you pick the one you want. I entered my neighboring zipcode as my backyard abutts the town line for that zipcode. It turns out the supplier that i picked was lower in price than my own zipcode, and in speaking with the oil company, they had no problem delivering to my area as we were within their 15 mile radius. Well cashheatingoil.com cancelled my order and banned me from ever using their site again for entering an incorrect zipcode. I admittedly did not read their terms of service, so my bad there, but apparently you are not allowed to enter neighboring zip codes. Instead of giving me a warning they simply banned me. I communicated with them through email and explained this exact thought process, yet they replied in a rude fashion and upheld the ban. I imagine this is a low budget operation, as it is just a web service, and its likely the owner or one guy that runs the website, but whoever it is, they are a rude person who has no appreciation for their customers. I'm hoping its not the owner and whoever this person is, is fired. Since i have found a company that is a supplier, is located within that 15 mile radius and i deal with them directly and they honor any sort of published prices on Cashheatingoil website. I'm thankful this company does not now have to pay any sort of commission to cashheatingoil.com as they certainly don't deserve any of my money.

They shorted me 50 gallons. At 2.70. I use a tape measure in my oil tank to check real numbers on gallons delivered and was shocked to see how brazenly they shorted me. I filed a complaint with the state.

The fault lies within the oil company that you paid to deliver it. Not cash heating oil internet company who simply booked the lowest price dealer for you. This is like you complaining to Expedia after booking travel, that the hotel breakfast was cold, something in which Expedia clearly has nothing to do with or control of. It’s the hotels fault. Same situation here. Not cash heating oils fault. They didn’t pump the oil, and they didn’t receive payment from you. You paid the one who delivered the oil.

Common sense, homeowners should be able to trust a platform like cashheatingoil. Cashheatingoil knows exactly who the scumbags are. These guys set prices 20 cents a gallon lower than the honest dealers, and just "under-deliver" to make up the difference. Cashheatingoil knows exactly who the scumbag oil dealers are, and does nothing to remove them, because their super low prices are what keep people coming back to the site....

You are the idiot. Cashheatingoil brought on shady oil companies with bad pasts. These oil companies update their price on CHO's website daily. There is a reason they are able to offer ridiculously low prices where they are only making 10-12 cents per gallon which doesn't even cover the cost to deliver the oil.

Cashheatingoil should research the companies that they take on, they should to protect the customer! I understand they can't control all. But they should still find out as best they can to protect the customer. People are trusting Cashheatingoil!!

I placed an order recently, thought I was all set. I received a call from Incredible Oil that they would be out tomorrow and they never showed. I'll never use this site again.

Ordered online, as it seemed to be cheaper than my local guy. The ordr was sent to Federal Oil?? The guy who called me was a jerk. Seem bothered that I wanted to buy oil from them. Delivery day came, I had ordered 200 gallons, but my tank seemed low still. I called them, once again they seemed bothered. The guy who answered the phone assured me i got 200 gallons. To be quite honest I don't think I did. They seemed shady as all hell. Then I find out my local guy had a better price after all. My fault for trying to save a buck.

In the past, I have been extremely happy with the dealers in the area and Cashheatingoil.com. They have always been accomidating until this week.
I placed the order as usual. I then received a phone call from HI HO Petroleum who stated that they accept cash only. Since this is their policy, no worries. However since no one is home during the day I do not feel comfortable leaving an envelope full of cash in my backyard. I asked the dispatcher to cancel the order and he obliged. Nothing was mentioned about using a debit card...........
I tried to place another order and was blocked. After having this happen a few times I contacted the dispatcher at HI HO and he sent me a copy of the e-mail he had sent to Cashheatingoil.com advising them to cancel the order. This was sent to them at 10:39AM. Peter Renehan responded to this e-mail at 10:41.
I forwarded the e-mail to Cashheating... again with the request that they cancel this order.
At this point, one would have thought that the hold would have been removed.
Several e-mails later, I never received a professional response in return. I was very disappointed in their lack of good customer service. In order to provide an answer, you actually have to comprehend what the original question was!!
Lucky for me!!! at 4:40 Monday afternoon I was finally able to place the order, and Tuesday morning I received a phone call confirming the order from a company that accepts personal checks.....instead of asking the customer to leave money in their backyard.

I received a call from my elderly mom that she thought her heating oil would be getting low. I ordered online and received a confirmation. I paid by cash and left it in door as agreed. Several days later my mother said no one came and she ran out of oil. I then ordered again and received no confirmation from a dealer, only from cash for oil that they had received my order and someone would be contacting me.
No one contacted me or delivered. I emailed. I was told that I was wrong , that everyone thought they were doing a great job and to go somewhere else for our oil. A full service dealer. I have been using cash for oil for about a year at this point and tried to reason with the person I spoke with. He then blocked me from using their site. This was immediately prior to our storm in CT this past weekend. I was unable to get a delivery due to the huge demand.
I have never run across someone so anti-customer oriented. Please be aware.
