This is a great proxy at a great price! In short terms, I love it! I particularly appreciate its command line interface even if the web interface is really nice.

We are used to deploy it as a filtering proxy for our clients here in Montreal. The google safe browsing that comes with the antivirus saved many users times from being victims of fishing campaign!

The reverse proxy and WAF is also interesting. Implemented in front of a wordpress server it can block unwanted access to the wordpress admin interface.

I recommend this product at 100%! Really helpful!

Cacheguard is rich in functionality and keeps web traffic safe. Can be implemented as a transparent web gateway or a web proxy to purify web traffic (blocks viruses, blacklists porn or advert urls, rejects network attacks, shape the traffic, log the web traffic, cache and compress web contents...). It offers the possibility to cloak web servers and filter malicious web requests (xss, sql injections, command injections...). It integrates an SNMP agents to monitor the appliance health itself. A auditing module can analyse web requests and log allowed or rejected requests... Great product developed by a small company. Amazing!

Even if CacheGuard is an open source product, it is only free for up to 100 users. I tested the commercial support and get a great quality help without having a support contract. The person I was in touch with, fixes some issues I reported to him quickly and informed me about fixes. Nice available people work for the company in charge of the maintenance of the product.
