To Gregg Elberg and all; big bandcharge.net is without a doubt the best source for acquiring big band charts. Their service is amazing fast and pleasant. Your negative review suggests to me you do not understand what they provide. It is impossible for any arrangement of any tune that you acquire to match the underlying recording, as you put it. Whatever recording you're listening to was arranged by a specific big band arranger. If you buy a chart that was arranged by someone else, you can bet they will not resemble each other in any way with the exception of the underlying Melody line. There are thousands of Tunes in the Great American Songbook and hundreds of arrangers putting their own spin on each tune. I suggest you get familiar with the the arrangers and then you'll have a good idea as to what the song may sound like recognizing who the arranger is. In fact, when you see a chart by name that you want to acquire, note who the arranger is and go on YouTube and there's a good possibility another band has recorded THE SPECIFIC ARRANGEMENT. YOU Will have note for note what you're buying. Otherwise you're taking the chance with the assumption that the tune will sound good based on you recognizing and understanding who the arranger is. That is the job of a music director.
