've been to four events they catered, one of them (the last) was my daughter's wedding. At the first three, the food was pretty good, definitely satisfactory, although the servers were not very professional. Everything that involved Sharon and David (the owner and chef) was a nightmare. They were not businesslike in their communications -- at the tasting there were six of us there and we all had different versions of the menu. What was actually served at the wedding was different from those versions. It was also basically thrown onto the buffet tables in industrial-like metal chafing dishes -- the kind you'd see in the prison cafeteria. They "ran out of" food, particularly the protein and were rationing it out -- two tiny pieces of meat per guest. There were at least six tables (including mine) that did not get any meat. And later some random chicken appeared that was not even on the menu. The servers did not know enough to place tongs and/or serving spoons in large bowls of fruit, platters of dessert, etc. I had to literally throw a fit to get some serving spoons. When they were not doing a poor job of serving, they were continuously going to the bar to try to get the bartenders to serve them alcohol. At one point, two of our guests spotted them chowing down on the short ribs (delicious and very popular) that they had "run out of". Apparently they were hoarding the food for themselves. When I went to get dessert, I had to wait for a server to finish helping himself to the buffet. And one of the other vendors found the kitchen staff washing dishes in the bathroom! Dinner was supposed to be served at 8:45 and even after being postponed for half an hour, it was still not ready and people were lined up for twenty minutes waiting for the buffet to open at 9:30. They also forgot about the midnight snacks and were packing up to leave when someone reminded them about the sliders they were supposed to be passing. They were definitely sliders -- they were literally thrown together on random plates and were falling apart --the burgers sliding out from the buns. Oh -- but the piece de resistance was the wedding cake. We ordered it from a special bakery who delivered it in pristine condition. It didn't dawn on the chef or anyone on his staff that in 95 degree heat, that the cake should be kept cool. It sat out in the catering tent in the heat of the afternoon until the fondant ballooned and then the layers started sliding. When they served it, the marble-effect icing had literally melted off of the cake and it was plain white and tilted like the Tower of Pisa.
I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting, but you get the idea. If you wanted to order food from them and pick it up and serve it yourself, it's generally pretty tasty. But you do not want to trust them with an event.
