We were denied adoption by this facility due to not having a vaccine for our dog. The vaccine needed was the Bordatella vaccine which is to be used on dogs that are frequently in kennels, with other dogs to prevent Kennel cough. Our elderly Keeshond would be at risk from the side effects, one of which is death. He is never out of his yard, never with other dogs other than our other pup and we never put our dogs in kennels. Our other dog did have the Bordatella vaccube. We had jumped through hoops for this organization, callling our vet, filling out extensive applications, even photocopying paperwork to verify vaccines and emailing it to them. We answered question after question. The second I emailed and told this agency that the Bordatella was not necessary for our elderly dog, we were denied. I had told them I was waiting for a call from our vet to see if the Bordatella vaccine was necessary, but the agency denied our application before we had a chance to talk to our vet. Seem odd? Yes, it did to us too. They didn't call our vet or even give us a chance and we have owned 4 of the particular breed we were applying for. All of their questions answered positively, yet within seconds we were denied. Please don't adopt from this agency.
