The newer pt boards are not the same. Ends centers measure different some up to a quarter inch. Very hard to line up and get it looking good. I’m am disappointed with the quality of the product.

We purchased the wood (yellawood) for our deck 6 years ago. Without a doubt the WORST product I have ever purchased. The wood has dry roited and my wife actually fell through it last week. I wouldn't put that crap on a dog house. Pitiful if I could give it a rating below 1 I would. That is a valid email

Yella Wood is the worst decking material I have ever used. You will be lucky to get 10 years out of it with proper maintenance. My boards started rotting within 5 years requiring repairs every year. At 10 years it now needs complete replacement including joists and posts. My old decks that used chromated copper arsenate (CCA for short) are still rock solid. The pressure treated wood sold today is nowhere near as good as the old stuff which contained arsenic. Very disappointed in this product and will never use it again.

We had our deck built using Yellow Wood in 2012. Most of the stair treads are completed rotted. Had to barricading certain areas until we could fix it. We used Timber Tek boards on top. Good grief can't get the screws out because they supplied their reverse screws at that time. Timber Tek doesn't use those screws anymore. In the meantime we are "screwed". Thanks a lot Yellow and Timber! You both are a massive disappointment.

I have built miles of picket fencing. Back in 2008 I was contracted to build approximately 1000 yards of neighborhood fencing. I got a call to come and look at the fence now. The Yellawood had not only rotted it had completely disappeared in many areas. In my 40 years of building I have never seen such a bad lumber product. I will never buy that brand of lumber again because it simple inferior to other products.

Like others, I had a deck extension built and the contractor used Yella wood. I had to replace the deck in a few years. The original decking is 25 years old and is better shape than the newer extension using Yella Wood. They are running ads for it on TV I’ve noticed, there is no way I would use that product.

A BIG thank you to YellaWood. So many companies have forgotten what customer service is all about. YellaWood has not. I had an issue with some lumber purchased in 2008. Without fussing, without arguing, without trying to avoid the issue and blame someone else, YellaWood addressed the issue and went above and beyond to make sure they lived up to their end of the warranty. Many thanks to Scott Stephenson (hope I spelled that right) for your assistance in handling this for me. YellaWood does business the old fashion way.....with honesty and honor. Thank you!

I built a fence out of yellow wood 2010. Most of the posts rotted at ground level . The pickets rotted first where they were close to the ground. The insects that ate it up were very small ants.

YellaWood is, by far, the worst pressure treated wood product to use for decks. My deck completely rotted within seven years of construction. Save yourself some time and money by using a quality product...and YellaWood is NOT that product. In addition, their representatives not only are rude, but they lack the character and integrity to help you when you really need it. Their mannerisms speak volumes about their unprofessional business ethic.

Don't waste your money on Yella Wood - the worst!!! We had to replace our deck around 6 years. Pay all that money for a product and it's not worth a dime.

$30,000 deck replaced a thirty year old cedar deck in 2010 with yellawood, Lables are still there but the wood is gone.. Much of it is completely rotted to dust 2x8's, 4/4's much of it has to be removed and replaced in just seven years. It is no better that untreated lumber.

I have been building decks for over 50 years. Yellow wood is the worst pressure treated lumber on the market. If you doubt me i can show you 40 year old decks i built, i have added onto with yellow wood. the yellow wood is rotten within 5 years. the old deck looks great. absolute gimmick, dont buy it. you should absolutely not use this product for a bottom plate for framing. again i can show you many rotten bottom plates I used yellow wood on. Not a cheap problem to correct. For some reason it also seems to rust out galvanized nails and screws at an alarmingly fast rate.

I paid $2.57 more per 2x6x12 for my deck to get Yella Wood instead of going to Lowe's. Within two weeks the boards that were tight upon installation had 1/2 gaps in between them. What was worse than that was the cracking. I have 2x6's that have 1/8 inch wide cracks in them for the entire length of the board.
When I complained the sales rep came out to my house and the first thing out of his mouth was "that's what wood does". Then I showed him the two satellite decks (off of bedrooms) that I had redone a year ago with lumber purchased at Lowe's that still look great. He offered to send out a dozen or so replacement boards but stated that he could not guarantee that the replacement boards would not crack the same or maybe even more.
Yella Wood is the worst lumber I have ever encountered and I am sad to say that I paid a premium price for it
