2021-Bought new Firestone tires for my car that I was selling to my cousin for his daughters first car. I wanted her to have new tires for safety as the old tires were 11 years old. There was a CDN rebate of $60 offered ($75 US). I filled out the rebate information online which was very easy and given a tracking number. about 6 weeks later I received my rebate card. Then I noticed it was only for $20 CDN. I tried to call and ask about the amount but was met with a never ending loop of prompts. As usual, no chance of getting it resolved. This was a case of bait & switch. I checked online about my rebate and they gave me the newer rebate that wasn't even active when I bought my tires. So please beware that you will probably not get the value you were expecting if you DO get the VISA card. I used my card immediately before posting this review as I could see them deleting it at any time before the expiry date.

I have a letter dated 6/27/18 stating my reward claim was approved and I would receive a $60 Visa prepaid card within 6-8 weeks of receiving this e-mail.
It is 11/15/18 and I haven't received the card yet. I could not get the tracking app to work. I had my van in for a front end alignment and was given a price for new tires. I will not buy any tires until I get my rebate.

Today, I spent an hour (by the clock) on the phone talking to Firestone rewards, customer service....first busy, then the old "your call is important to us etc" looping around for 20 minutes" finally tried chat line,... first of all..."you must activate your card" fine, did that months ago, "how many digits" this went on, with silly questions, until finally I was told "this is not your card" I countered with why then is my name on it....next "what State do you live in", next one was (YOU SHOULD call a Canadian bank" after back and forth, my email, my dog's name, card is probably expired" finally the operator told me, card should be fine, if you go over 40. you will probably have to pay anything owing above that figure. I spend over 800.00 on best quality winter tires, and was given a voucher to send in for a 40. thank you Visa card. This has gone on back and forth since the end of November, nobody knows anything, and what's more, nobody seems to care. If there was a zero for my review, I would use the zero instead of one star.. I should not have to be the one getting angry and upset... Even in the first place, the card was not sent until I had to phone (waste of time), the chat was just somebody's was of coming up with try this try this, in other words, sorry, too bad, so sad. I have the card in my hand, but I'm positive I will get hassled at the cash if I try to use it.

So far I have been given the run around on receiving my reward. I have submitted my reward claim online filling in all pertinent information, and after 2 weeks received word via email that my claim was not approved and to contact them with any questions. Upon calling and verifying all information the person I was working with said everything looks fine. She said she would refer this to her supervisor and to expect a call within next day or 2. Well it has been a week now and no phone call. Checked online and my reward claim is still showing not approved. I am starting to think they really don't want to approve this legit claim and are hoping that (like a lot of claims) it just goes away or expires. Since this reward was a part of my reason for purchasing the tires, I am starting to get angry about having to jump through hoops to try and get what was part of the deal.
