I have had a bad experience with Delta Dental. I decided to cancel with them after the coverage was not adequate for cleanings and x-rays. I called on November 20, 2017 and was told all I had to do was send an email stating my intent to cancel. I did that but then received a notice of a payment due. I called again and was told I had to go to the website and cancel that way--so I did. I then received another notice of my bill coming due. I called again, and they told me they never received my November 20 email, and I was too late in sending the second cancelation. Delta Dental then refused to give me a refund for the extra payment I had to make due to them "not receiving my notification in time." They said I missed it by two days. If you decide to go with Delta, beware of trying to cancel if you are not satisfied with their rates and customer service!

I've had Delta Dental for years and have not had any problems with them paying claims. Their website & customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I recently remarried & needed to change my name on my account & on my payment information. They instructed me to MAIL them a copy of driver's license with my new name plus a copy of my marriage license. Both of these documents contain personal information that could lead to identity theft. I requested acknowledgement that the documents had been received. I have never received such. At the time I asked to change my name, I had a pre-approval on a pending procedure. NOW, I cannot get logged into my account. The website responds with "invalid subscriber number", "name is not recognized", etc. However, they are still automatically withholding payment each month, and I have no access to my account! Plus, I NEVER get to talk to a person because my subscriber number no longer exists!

I just obtained Delta Dental and received a paper that directed me to this site to register my ID number but there is no information on this site to do this. it is a waste of time. They need to get it together.

This was the email address I was given to access an "Explanation of Benefits" (from Delta), and all it tells me is how to find & purchase Delta Dental Ins., which I all ready have. Waste of my time, and I still have no idea of what document Delta wants me to review!!

deltadentalcoverme.com, does nothing for me. I am looking for dental insurance. And all this web site does is trying to get me health insurance. Wondering why supposedly deltadental is ranked high.
