I had my davinci hysterectomy 6-23-14 . I didn't have any issues . Everything went smoothly. I was going for short walks 2 days after surgery. I barely took the narcotics I was prescribed because I didn't have much pain. At 3 weeks I went to a barbecue and had a great time. I had to keep reminding myself I still had major surgery. I went back to work at 6 weeks only because my job is very physical. I did get a uti infection from the catheter but thats common and antibiotics took care of it. I had some swelling in my belly for 2 weeks . Overall my experience was a positive one. Everyone is different. I prayed and let god take care of the rest. I am 37 years old and weigh 111 pounds and thats after surgery. No weight issues I actually lost weight but I also had fibroids. I was active before surgery and I'm still active. My reason for having the surgery was frequent
urination from fibroids and I did get relief. Keep your parts if you can but if not I recommend searching hard for a skilled davinci surgeon. Best wishes to you all.

I had my gallbladder removed via the da Vinci robotic system. I had one small incision in my navel rather than three slits that the laproscopic method offers. My recovery went well. As with all surgery the forst 48 hrs are the hardest. By day three I felt my abdominal muscles were less sore and getting in and out of bed as well as a siting position was done with more independence. By day five I did evertything on my own. My navel is a still abit sore and itchy ( day eight) but the bruising is gone. The biggest issue is the bloating. I saw the doctor today and she said that this could remin for another two weeks. Bloating would happen with all gallbladder surgery. All in all this is the way to go. The recovery time is about ten days and there are no wounds to look after limiting the risk of infection. The surgery took 45 min and I went home from the hospital six hours after the procedure. I highly recomend the da Vinci method for gallbladder removal.
